Justice Institute Conference held in DC.   

Dr. Oluwole Ariyo gave a presentation on, 'Deleterious effects of improper disposal of household hazardous wastes'. One of our Allen University Environmental Justice Institute Interns, by name, Divine favor Oladipo presented on, 'Review of detrimental effects of Carbon monoxides in different communities'. April 27, 2019: Graduation Ceremony of Allen University Environmental Justice Scholars

Allen University Environmental Justice Institute (AUEJI) proudly celebrated the graduation of second cohort of Scholars who, were accepted into the Allen University Environmental Justice Scholars' Program (AUEJSP). Eight Allen University students of high academic achievements and commendable reputations were selected from different academic divisions. These students were named, 'Allen University Environmental Justice Scholars'.  The program comprised of 9 different modules taught on 9 Saturdays.  It is envisaged that these new graduates from AUEJSP will be instrumental to positive changes with regard to environmental challenges in their respective communities.  The graduation ceremony was on Saturday, April 27, 2019.

June 15, 2019: Environmental Justice Youth conference held at Dorchester, South Carolina in collaboration with Charleston district African Methodist Episcopal Church

June 19 – 22, 2019: 12th National Conference on Health Disparities

Ten Allen University students, one faculty (Dr. Ariyo) and a staff (Mrs. Macon) were supported by the Allen University EJI grant to attend the above-named conference in Oakland, California.

July 13, 2019: Allen University EJI Youth conference held on Allen Campus
